Lana Garland

She has worked for the television networks HBO and BET in America, as well as TV2 in Denmark. In documentary film, she has worked as a producer on films such as Bowling For Columbine, Stolen Moments: Red Hot + Cool, and Unchained Memories: Readings from the Slave Narratives.  

After receiving her MA in Television and Film from Syracuse University, Lana began her career in on-air promotions for HBO. She went on to lead BET’s Creative Services department where she and her team won numerous industry awards. At TV2 Denmark, she established and grew the corporate video section of the New Business department. In 2011, she joined forces with Diane Houslin of The House, Inc. to creative direct and direct the Free to Be campaign for ESPN.

Lana is an NATPE Diversity fellow, a NAMIC ELDP fellow, a Gordon Parks IFP screenwriting finalist, a Worldfest Houston finalist, and a Telly Award winner.
